The object
Most chargers announce themselves with plastic and LEDs. Slate does the opposite. The body is a pressed stone composite with a matte, cool-to-the-touch surface, weighted so it stays put when you lift the phone. Fifteen watts through the coil, a woven cable in matte black, and an aluminium collar that keeps it from sliding.
